Matheus Cunha has earned a nomination for the ES Sports Player of the Month award after an electrifying November, where he scored three goals and delivered three assists.The Brazilian forward was instrumental in Wolverhampton Wanderers’ success, capping off the win over Southampton with a thunderous strike, followed by two sensational goals in the commanding victory at Fulham. He also turned provider, setting up goals for Jorgen Strand Larsen, Pablo Sarabia, and Joao Gomes during the month.

Cunha is up against formidable competition for the award, with Bruno Fernandes, Bukayo Saka, and Mohamed Salah among the eight nominees.Remarkably, Cunha has also etched his name into Premier League history, becoming the first player to receive three nominations for the same Goal of the Month accolade. His nominated strikes include a breathtaking long-range effort against Southampton and two stunning finishes at Craven Cottage – a deft equaliser and a sublime curling shot from distance.
In addition to Cunha’s accolades, Wolves’ manager Gary O’Neil has been shortlisted for the Barclays Manager of the Month award.
