NafisaIt was fantastic to witness Nicolas Kuhn back among the goals for Celtic over the weekend.
Celtic secured the Premiership title in fine fashion when they scored five goals against third-place-chasing Dundee United, including a brace from Kuhn.
The 25-year-old, despite having an extraordinary campaign overall, has faced criticism recently because his form declined after 2025.
It even led to Rodgers benching Kuhn, but sometimes, it’s about how you recover, not why or how you stumble.
The German winger’s first goal, which was Celtic’s second of the afternoon, came when Daizen Maeda provided a superb ball to the back post, and he did remarkably well to keep the ball low while directing it into the net from the far post.
That finish was discussed by Peter Grant on the BBC, and it’s fair to say that he had a brilliant way of explaining it.

If you tune in to Sportscene regularly, you will find that ex-Rangers striker Steven Thompson hosts the highlight show for the BBC.
When Grant was describing Kuhn’s ‘excellent’ finish, he proceeded to tell the former Rangers man how it ‘isn’t easy’ and ‘you will know as a striker’.
Before brutally telling Thompson, who spent three years at Ibrox, ‘I know you didn’t score many’.
“Nicolas Kuhn, you mentioned him there, he had gone off the boil, in terms of the incredible standards he had set in the early part of the season,” said Thompson. “But he was very, very good against Dundee United.”
Grant responded: “He was excellent. He was back to his self. The thing I liked about him against Dundee United is that when he lost possession of the ball, he chased it back right away, and he was really hungry right from the whistle.
“But his (opening) goal was excellent. A great ball out here, he gets into the back post, and it’s a great run by Alistair Johnston. Give him credit for dragging defenders to the front post.
“You see Kuhn, the desire to get into the back post. It’s been a big part of Celtic’s performances, the wide players getting into the box. It’s not an easy finish as it looks.”
Thompson adds in the background: “No, it’s not an easy finish.” Before Grant continued: “It’s a fantastic finish. You will know as a striker. Although, I know you didn’t score that many.”
Thompson laughs and then adds: “Cheers, Peter. I agree with you, when it skips up above the surface like that, you need to have the control, maybe I didn’t have the control.”
What message was Kuhn sending out with his celebration?
As many of the Celtic Park faithful would have noticed, Kuhn’s celebration after he scored was quite intriguing, and it was seemingly a message to his detractors.
Up until the festive period, you would have argued that Kuhn would win Player of the Year because he was far ahead of everyone else.
But Grant was thrilled to see the winger back to his peak, including how his celebration conveyed that ‘too many people are talking’.
“Against Dundee United, he was back to his old self,” added Grant. “There is no doubt that he is a top-quality player.
“From pre-season, he was brilliant. Right through, then he hit a rough patch. You can see him saying to the supporters ‘too many people talking’.
“Well, keep performing like that and he will do fine.”
