OFFICIAL — SFA has made an official announcement to Celtic and Rangers ahead of Old Firm Derby that fans have to see amid Gers devastating result yesterday at Hearts

The SFA have announced the match officials for Sunday’s final Glasgow Derby of the season, with Celtic fully aware of what is on the line.
There is still plenty attached to this one, even if the title picture has shifted slightly following the latest round of results.

Rangers’ loss to Hearts on Monday night has left them hanging on, with their hopes of finishing top now almost out of reach. Second place still matters, with Champions League qualifiers at stake, so there is no suggestion this becomes a meaningless fixture from their perspective.

For Celtic, the equation is much clearer: win, and the pressure remains firmly applied.

Anything less, and it leaves an opening at a point in the season where there is very little room for error.

Derek McInnes’ side head to Motherwell on Saturday evening, and that outcome will influence the mood going into Sunday. Fir Park will be under close watch before a ball is kicked in the East End of Glasgow.

For Sunday’s heavyweight derby, Nick Walsh has been confirmed as the referee. Frank Connor and Daniel McFarlane will run the lines, while John Beaton takes charge of VAR alongside assistant Chris Graham.

The technology has already played a major role in several of these fixtures this season, so that combination will not go unnoticed.

Kick off is scheduled for midday, with live coverage on Sky Sports.

There will also be a Rangers contingent inside Celtic Park.

The away allocation is back after the Ibrox side accepted the conditions set by Celtic. The hosts had made it clear there would be no tickets unless the Union Bears were excluded.

Rangers agreed, although their ultras group responded at Tynecastle with a banner urging supporters to wear all black.
