On the 17 November, a noble journalist revealed via his Patreon that potential owners of Everton are set to “shock” several backroom staff at Goodison Park with a bold demand.

This decision will not only extend to the club’s manager, Sean Dyche, but also to senior figures such as Director of Football Kevin Thelwell and key scouts, as new owner Dan Friedkin looks to assert his control over the Merseyside club.

Dyche, whose current contract expires next year, is among the top names set to be reviewed when Friedkin’s American group takes over at Everyon.

While the manager has helped steady the ship amid financial downfall and points deductions, the incoming ownership is likely to assess his future, with a potential managerial change on the card.

There’s already speculation linking Friedkin with high-profile managers and experienced Premier League boss like Jose Mourinho and Graham Potter, suggesting that a bold decision could be made before long.

Friedkin, who has had positive experiences in football, is clearly intent on making an immediate impact at Goodison Park. He aims to end the months of bad days that have surrounded the club’s ownership under Farhad Moshiri, who has been largely absent from the scene in recent months.

Despite the questions surrounding his future, Dyche’s efforts to keep Everton in the Premier League during a difficult period haven’t gone unnoticed by many.

Few managers could have navigated the financial chaos and uncertainty with the same level of success, but Friedkin’s review will ultimately determine whether the current regime remains in place.
