NafisaWolverhampton Wanderers have faced a challenging season, but recent results suggest they are turning things around, having won two of their last three Premier League matches.
The transition under Vítor Pereira hasn’t been without difficulties, with some tough defeats along the way, but performances have been improving.
This month, Wolves secured victories over Aston Villa and Bournemouth while also putting up strong fights against Liverpool and Arsenal, narrowly losing both encounters by a single goal.
Paul Merson has now weighed in on Wolves’ survival prospects as he shared his prediction for their upcoming clash with Fulham.

Merson is convinced that Wolves’ recent win against Bournemouth has “virtually sealed their survival in the Premier League.”
He also praised their performance against Liverpool, acknowledging that they were unfortunate not to take at least a point from the game.
Predicting a 1-1 draw against Fulham, Merson stated:
“That win for Wolves against Bournemouth has virtually sealed their survival in the Premier League in my opinion,” Merson wrote on Sportskeeda.
“Wolves showed they are a decent team during that game against Liverpool. They were unlucky to not come away with a point, but did show some promise against the league leaders.
“The sending off to Bournemouth helped them in the last game, however, there are no doubts that they are a decent team.
“Matheus Cunha is the X-factor in that team and I have a feeling they can get something from this game. Another point would steer them further away from the bottom three.”
Sharing his thoughts on Fulham, Merson noted:
“Fulham let themselves down against Crystal Palace last weekend. They are a better team than that and they got well beat in that game.
“If I was Fulham, I would have one eye on the FA Cup. I believe they have the team to go on a dream run in the competition.”
The relegation battle at a glance
Currently sitting 17th in the table with 22 points, Wolves hold a five-point cushion over 18th-placed Ipswich Town and 19th-placed Leicester City.
While a five-point lead with 12 matches remaining is far from a guarantee of safety, Merson appears confident in Wolves’ ability to stay up.
Ipswich, Leicester, and Southampton have all struggled throughout the campaign, and Wolves have netted 11 more goals than Leicester, the highest-scoring side among the bottom three.
Southampton’s relegation seems inevitable, while Leicester and Ipswich both suffered heavy defeats in their most recent fixtures.
