The officials for Celtic’s upcoming Scottish Premiership clash with Falkirk have now been confirmed by the SFA.
Martin O’Neill’s side return to action this Saturday for their first match after the split, taking on John McGlynn’s Falkirk for the fourth time this season. So far, it’s been one way traffic, with Celtic winning all three previous meetings.
For the game at Celtic Park, Ryan Lee will take charge as referee. He’ll have Jonathan Bell and Dougie Potter running the lines, while VAR duties fall to Chris Graham, assisted by Greg Aitken back at Clydesdale House.
Lee is no stranger to Celtic this season. He was in the middle when they swept Falkirk aside 4-0 at Parkhead earlier in the campaign, and he also oversaw their 2-1 extra time win against Dundee.
Falkirk have seen a bit of him as well. He handled their defeat to Celtic, along with a narrow 1-0 win over Kilmarnock in December and a 3-2 loss to Dundee United a couple of months later.
As for the head to head record, Celtic have had the upper hand throughout. They’ve put nine goals past Falkirk across those three meetings, including comfortable wins at home. The only close contest came away from home, where a single goal from Benjamin Nygren was enough to get the job done.
Kick off on Saturday is set for 5.30pm, with Celtic looking to keep their strong run against Falkirk going.
