NafisaVaclav Cerny has broken his silence following his loan stint with Rangers last season.
Rangers are just days away from being able to kickstart their summer transfer activity, with the confirmation of Russell Martin’s appointment at Ibrox expected shortly.
Following the 49ers’ takeover being finalised, the Light Blues face no obstacles in their push to bring in fresh talent during the upcoming transfer window.
The Light Blues have a crucial summer in terms of recruitment, and finding a replacement for last season’s standout performer Cerny will be near the top of their agenda, with the Czech international sharing his outlook on what lies ahead.
Rangers unlikely to re-sign Cerny at Ibrox:
Cerny was outstanding for Rangers last term, but the old adage to “never fall in love with a loan player” looks set to ring true again this summer, with a return appearing increasingly doubtful.
A switch to newly promoted Sunderland has been suggested [Mackem News], but any resolution regarding his future will likely occur later on, with the winger offering insight into his current position.
Via the Daily Record, Cerny said: “I had a wonderful relationship with [Rangers] fans, I think I gave them a lot of nice experiences, just like they gave me.
“I’m just sorry I couldn’t win anything with Rangers. But I will have very nice memories, they have a magical stadium.

Rangers will surely be eager to secure his return to Ibrox after such a productive loan stay in Glasgow, but at the moment, it appears any potential deal is unlikely to materialise this summer.

Rangers have plenty of business to handle this summer, and considering the shortcomings they showed on the domestic front last season, there will be little room for missteps in the choices they make.
Replacing Cerny will be the main focus, though various parts of the squad will also demand reinforcements.
