NafisaBayer Leverkusen have struck a deal with Brentford to acquire Mark Flekken, according to Sky Germany journalist Florian Plettenberg.
Flekken arrived at Brentford in the summer of 2023 following David Raya’s switch to Arsenal, and has since cemented his place as one of the Premier League’s standout goalkeepers.
No shot-stopper in England’s top flight registered more saves than Flekken’s 153 last season – 28 ahead of Aaron Ramsdale in second – as he played a key role in Brentford’s 10th-place finish.
The 31-year-old is now poised for a transfer to Leverkusen after a €10 million agreement was reached to bring him to the BayArena.
Flekken and Leverkusen have settled on personal terms, and the move is expected to be confirmed in the coming days, subject to a medical assessment.
