Deal getting closer to being Completed — Nottingham Forest now 90% on the verge of SEALING Triple Signings with all players coming to the City Ground

Nottingham Forest are edging closer to reinforcing their squad, with a promising update emerging regarding the chase for three fresh additions to the football club.

Evangelos Marinakis was eager to bring in a new talisman in January, but with the market proving difficult to navigate, the club opted to keep the chequebook shut and instead prioritise the summer window.

Yesterday, Jesus’ agent appeared to confirm that Forest are nearing an agreement, with the player expected to join the club after the Club World Cup, which kicks off this month.

Now, highly respected transfer reporter David Ornstein has shared an encouraging update on Forest, with activity seemingly ramping up on the recruitment front.

Nottingham Forest closing in on three fresh arrivals:

The forward is 25 years old, and it will be intriguing to see what he can deliver in the Premier League should the club finalise this deal for him to make the switch to the City Ground.

According to The Athletic, three new acquisitions are nearing completion, with all of the players arriving at the City Ground from Brazilian champions Botafogo.

Jesus was the one most expected to happen, but he will be accompanied by left-back Cuiabano and centre-back Jair Cunha, with momentum now gathering pace.

Considering Forest have been in the market for a striker for some time, it’s the Jesus signing that will draw the most attention, and his addition will be warmly received, particularly after previous links to Arsenal.

All three of the incoming talents fit the mould of what Forest typically pursue in the transfer window these days, making it a very promising period.

Cuiabano is a left-sided full-back, and having a natural left-footer in that position would be ideal, despite how impressive Neco Williams has been throughout the past year.

Cunha will be aiming to replicate the kind of impact Murillo had at the core of the defence, and he’ll contribute additional depth in that zone of the pitch.

It’s Jesus who will spark the imagination of the supporters, however, given the ongoing need for a striker, and the hope will be that he hits the ground running and provides support to Chris Wood and Taiwo Awoniyi.

As Ornstein points out, this deal isn’t finalised just yet, but the mere fact it’s being reported is an encouraging sign — and with any luck, all three players will be integrated into the squad ahead of pre-season.
