NafisaRangers confront additional sanctions from the Scottish FA regarding their response to a £3,000 penalty for statements made by John Brown on RangersTV.
Brown claimed that Scottish football was “corrupt” when Nicolas Raskin had a clear goal disallowed against Hibernian on the final day of the Scottish Premiership season.
The SFA has since penalized Rangers after issuing a Notice of Complaint about the former Ibrox defender’s outburst while providing commentary on the 2-2 draw at Hibs.
The Light Blues have called for the adoption of goal-line technology due to Raskin’s ‘ghost goal’, but they’ve also released a nearly-threatening declaration about the SFA.

Rangers have stated they will closely monitor the SFA following their £3,000 fine for Brown’s on-air accusation that corruption exists in the Scottish Premiership.
The Govan club argues that Brown’s remark was “informal, tongue-in-cheek and emotional commentary” that “comes with the territory”.
Former Premier League and FIFA-listed referee Keith Hackett doesn’t think Rangers’ statement should be overlooked by the SFA.
He believes that if the Gers suspect there’s more behind this penalty than appears, they should handle their affairs discreetly and professionally, hiring a lawyer to assist in finding a solution.
“It is evident to me that one of Scotland’s oldest clubs has lost confidence in the disciplinary process,” Hackett told Ibrox News.
“The SFA can act and review what has been written [by Rangers] and issue further sanctions.
“I would suggest that Rangers should appoint an independent legal expert to review this case and the processes that the SFA have in place.
“Are the processes fair? Are the processes independent? Are the outcomes consistent?
“What frankly needs to stop is a public debate through media channels.
“Clubs have to have confidence in due process. They have to have confidence in the Scottish FA.
“The two parties need to meet over the weekend to resolve this issue.”

What Brown said warranted punishment. Even Tom Miller conceded that he doesn’t believe his co-commentator’s remarks were permissible.
The club is charging the SFA with inconsistency, but how frequently have club media outlets featured someone openly accusing them of corruption because a few individuals erred while performing their duties?
Rangers evidently understand the impact of words based on this declaration. They need to stop appealing to the crowd that seems to believe corruption is widespread in Scottish football when refereeing errors affect every team and are mostly due to incompetence.
