But the setback now places them in sixth position with a challenging task ahead in the final four matches of the campaign.

To worsen matters, Jamie Redknapp believes the referee committed a mistake that could’ve altered the match’s outcome.

Lewis-Potter was cautioned for a foul on the swift-footed wide player and then was lucky to escape without a second booking after obstructing Ola Aina’s run, according to Jamie Redknapp.
“This causes every defender a problem,” Redknapp said on Sky Sports. “So many attacks come down this right wing.
“It’s probably a [second] yellow card. I can see Rico Henry, maybe they should change it. Because Lewis-Potter has been so good all season, you don’t want to take him off right now.”

There is still much to compete for in the final four games of the season, with achievable fixtures approaching for Nuno’s squad.

Chelsea (H).
The East Midlanders also face Champions League rivals Chelsea on the final day of the season, so they will have the opportunity to regain points if necessary.
Newcastle United, conversely, face a far tougher conclusion to the season on paper, as they still have Chelsea and Arsenal to confront.
