“It ain’t always about rivalry…it’s about being a human being and doing what you love and respect — WATCH Touching Moment Rangers Ally McCoist SPOTTED in Heartwarming Passionate Gesture to Celtic’ Ange Postecoglou after winning the Europa League that has got Celtic fans SHOCKINGLY Emotional after seeing the Video

Rangers icon Ally McCoist has consistently supported Ange Postecoglou as the Tottenham Hotspur boss hoists the Europa League title.

Postecoglou, 59, has faced intense scrutiny at Spurs this term, with the North London outfit languishing in a troubling 17th place in the Premier League.

However, despite injuries and backlash, former Celtic coach Ange Postecoglou has silenced his doubters by fulfilling his vow of silverware at Spurs this season.

And following the Europa League triumph, it was Rangers icon Ally McCoist who was among the earliest to applaud the former Parkhead manager.

Rangers had been knocked out by eventual hosts Athletic Bilbao in the tournament’s quarter-finals, with Manchester United edging past the Spaniards to book their place in the final.

Spurs had dispatched Bodo/Glimt and, with a resolute defensive performance, restricted United’s chances after Brennan Johnson bundled the ball home.

It was hardly a classic encounter, but after the final whistle, Ally McCoist was seen in a sincere embrace with Ange Postecoglou — a moment that underscored the mutual admiration between the two.

Rangers great ‘absolutely delighted’ for former Celtic boss:

Rangers met Tottenham Hotspur during the League Phase of this season’s Europa League, securing a 1-1 stalemate against the English heavyweights.

Hamza Igamane put the Light Blues in front before Dejan Kulusevski levelled the score, with Cyriel Dessers later denied by Fraser Forster.

Speaking at full-time on TNT Sport’s live broadcast of the clash, Ally McCoist praised Postecoglou, who had earlier in the season told a journalist he “always wins something in his second season.”

”Ange delivers what he says he does – that’ll be the story tomorrow,” McCoist explained. “And rightly so… I’ll put my cards on the table, I’m absolutely delighted for him.

“Some of the criticism has been way over the top – particularly in the buildup to this final. I don’t think anyone can grudge him this trophy.”
