NafisaLiverpool playmaker Harvey Elliott has emerged as one of Wolves’ primary targets in the summer transfer window as the Old Gold prepare backup plans for the possible departure of Matheus Cunha.
Elliott joined Liverpool in 2019 and has featured 145 times for the Anfield side since arriving from Fulham. He grew up supporting Liverpool and has been part of the squad that secured two League Cups, a Community Shield, a UEFA Super Cup, a Club World Cup, and most recently the Premier League title.
The England under-21 international also appeared twice during Jurgen Klopp’s title-winning campaign in 2019/20 but didn’t qualify for a medal after only making two appearances.
Elliott has two years left on his contract at Anfield and has always been highly valued by Jurgen Klopp. However, under his successor Arne Slot he’s been restricted to just one league start and has found first-team chances much harder to come by.
The Fulham academy product is still awaiting his first senior England cap and has suggested he might consider a move away from Merseyside this summer to realise that ambition.

Harvey Elliott made 53 appearances across all competitions in Jurgen Klopp’s final season and appeared to be closer to becoming a first-team regular after starting 11 league matches and almost every game in the Europa League.
He also demonstrated his impact with four goals and 14 assists while proving himself as a versatile player who could operate in various positions.
However, he’s found this season more challenging, making just 26 appearances across all competitions and only starting once in the league all term, which came after the title race was already decided.
Elliott admitted that ideally he’d like to spend his entire career at Anfield but hinted at a potential departure if he cannot secure more regular playing time.
“I think it’s been a lot more difficult for me because I obviously had that injury at the start,” Elliott told The Echo last month.
He added: “But at the same time, you need to be here for the team, work as hard as you can and when the opportunities come on the pitch…
“A lot of times this season it’s almost been [coming on] when we’ve been losing or drawing, so it is about trying to change the game, try and turn it around and have a positive impact. But, you know, any minutes for Liverpool are amazing.”
“I hope that I can push on. This is my team, I am committed to them and it’s just a situation that is always going to have a lot of talk.
“I just need to think about what is best for my future, my career and as much as I want it to be here you never know what is going to happen around the corner.
“If I had it my way, that would be here, I would play each and every game here and stay here for the rest of my career but it all depends on managers, the people above and as I said you don’t know what could happen but as far as I am aware I am here, here to stay and this is the club I want to be at.”

Harvey Elliott has shown he is a player with significant potential throughout his time at Liverpool despite not securing a consistent place in the starting lineup. The 22-year-old can operate both as a central attacking midfielder and as a right-winger and is well-known for his outstanding creativity and ability to take on defenders and create chances.
He’s scored three times in the Champions League this season and played a crucial role in the team’s strong finish to last campaign with one goal and four assists in the final three games against Aston Villa, Spurs, and Wolves.
Elliott could offer Wolves a creative spark and potentially replace Matheus Cunha if one of Europe’s top clubs triggers the Brazilian’s £62.5m release clause.
Give Me Sport understands Elliott will come at a premium, however, with Liverpool reportedly seeking a fee of around £50m for his signature.
