It notes that he is prepared to embrace his first head coaching position following discussions with the Auchenhowie side.

This news comes after Steven Gerrard reportedly ruled himself out of contention, leaving the young tactician as the top prospect.

Rangers must hope Ancelotti move pays off
It looks as though it’s only a matter of time before Ancelotti is appointed at Ibrox, with the Light Blues finally on the verge of landing their man.

It’s a bold move, considering his lack of top-level managerial credentials and the stature of the Govan side — it could be a daunting debut and might hinder their ambitions of catching rivals Celtic in domestic competition.

Former Gers manager Mark Warburton has cautioned the 35-year-old not to underestimate the challenge, as expectations in Glasgow are consistently high.

Nonetheless, he also arrives with years of experience working under arguably the finest coach in world football, and his links with clubs like Madrid, Bayern Munich, and Everton could assist the Gers in the transfer market.
