NafisaLeicester City are among multiple clubs pursuing Manchester United prospect Jack Kingdon ahead of the upcoming summer transfer period.
Under the guidance of United icon Ruud van Nistelrooy, Leicester are heading for the Championship, with survival now out of reach. The Foxes are currently 19th in the table, 16 points adrift of 17th-placed West Ham United with only three fixtures remaining.
Consequently, the attention has shifted to preparations for the next campaign at the King Power Stadium. It remains unclear whether Van Nistelrooy will stay at the helm next season, but Leicester have already begun scouting the market for potential additions.
As reported by EFL Analysis, Leicester are interested in bringing Kingdon on board this summer.
The 19-year-old is yet to feature for United’s senior side but has trained with the first team. The Scottish youngster was recruited by United from Morecambe back in 2020.
After impressing within United’s youth ranks, Kingdon secured a loan move to Rochdale in January for the remainder of the 2024/25 campaign to gain first-team experience.
Nevertheless, the outlet claims the homegrown talent is “confirmed to be leaving” United at the conclusion of the season.
The Red Devils are not planning to renew his deal, which expires in May.
In addition to Leicester, Millwall, Derby County, and Wrexham have all expressed interest in the former Scotland U19 star.
It is believed that these clubs “would be keen for his experience at a big club like United.”
