NafisaHarvey Elliott seems to be a sought-after player ahead of the summer transfer window.
Bournemouth are reportedly keen on the Liverpool attacking midfielder (Daily Mail), while Wolves are said to be preparing to submit an enquiry with the Merseyside outfit regarding the 22-year-old’s status (GIVEMESPORT).
Although the England under-21 international had to wait until last weekend for his first Premier League start of the campaign, it appears that he’s still regarded quite highly at Anfield and would only be let go if a significant offer were to be made.
What’s the latest on Wolves’ interest in Harvey Elliott?
In the latest episode of the E&S Wolves Podcast, Liam Keen – who reports on the Molineux side for the Express & Star – confirmed that Vitor Pereira’s team are very keen on Elliott but might struggle to meet Liverpool’s likely valuation of him.
The journalist outlined: “I think he’s a good player, I think he’d do really well at Wolves, definitely be keen. The thing that’s going to kill you straight away is we’re talking about £40m.
“Wolves are just not going to spend that on players unless something major changes. Everything we’ve been told, everything we’re aware of from the previous plans is that they’re not going to spend this kind of money on players, and we don’t expect that to change.
“However, Wolves do like him. I’m not going to say that he’s definitely not signing for this club in the summer, but I can say pretty comfortably that he’s not signing for this club for £40m.”

If Liverpool consider Elliott to be worth £40m or more, then they’re fully entitled to ask for what they believe the 22-year-old is worth if any interested parties were to put forward an offer for him.
The former Fulham starlet has made nearly 150 appearances for the Reds and contributed meaningfully to the club’s various trophy wins in recent seasons, even if he has never consistently been a first-choice starter during his spell at Anfield.
Having transferred Fabio Carvalho and Sepp van den Berg to Brentford last August for £27.5m and £25m respectively after the pair made a combined 25 appearances for the LFC senior side, FSG could feel they’re more than justified in asking for £40m for a player like Elliott who’s had a far greater impact at L4.
The other significant hurdle Wolves would face if they hope to secure our number 19 is his openly declared love for Liverpool, having recently expressed his wish to stay with the club he’s supported since he was a child.
We can see why the Old Gold would be frustrated if they ultimately find themselves priced out of a deal for the 22-year-old, but they would also likely recognise that the Reds are well within their rights to set his valuation based on what they believe to be his genuine market worth.
