NafisaDavide Ancelotti is reportedly poised to accompany his father Carlo with the Brazilian national team.
The 35-year-old has been strongly associated with the vacant Rangers role in recent days.
Ancelotti currently serves as his father’s assistant at Real Madrid. However, Carlo is set to depart the club at the conclusion of the season and take over as the new head coach of Brazil.
Davide will accompany him to South America for World Cup qualifiers against Ecuador and Paraguay in June, according to The Athletic. It is yet to be determined whether Ancelotti Jr will continue as part of the coaching team beyond those fixtures, as he is attracting ‘interest from a number of clubs’.
Rangers are still searching for a long-term replacement for Philippe Clement.

In what may have been his final match in charge at Ibrox on Wednesday night, Rangers secured a 3-1 victory, with goals from Cyriel Dessers and Nicolas Raskin overturning an early deficit to defeat Dundee United.
“I’ve loved every minute of it,” said Ferguson.
“I knew it wasn’t going to be perfect when I came in. But I was willing to take that challenge on. And it has been challenging, believe me. It’s been challenging.
“But as I said, every day I walk into a training centre, every day I walk through the front door. It’s a privilege to be here and work here. And it’s not over yet. It’s only one game, and you never know what’s around the corner.”
