NafisaThe 33-year-old Spanish attacker netted eight goals in 77 matches after arriving from Paris Saint-Germain in 2023 but was limited to only seven Premier League starts this term.
Sarabia still managed to secure the club’s goal of the season accolade thanks to a sensational free-kick in last month’s victory at Manchester United, marking the second consecutive year he earned the honour.
He will officially depart Wolves when his deal runs out at the end of next month and expressed gratitude to fans for their backing.
Sarabia said: “I was very, very happy, with my family and everyone at Wolves.
“Everyone tried to help me and my family, and for me that’s the most important thing in life.
“I have very good memories of Wolves in terms of quality of life, in terms of playing with the supporters, every single game I felt them in the stadium, and because of this I just want to say thanks for everything.
“My balance in my life is to help everyone, and because of this I found a very good family, a very good team and very good people at Wolves.
“I’m going to miss everything because I have friends at the club, every single teammate, the staff and the people who, for example, work in the gym, the physios, (head of player care) Lisa (Hollis), everyone there – I’ll miss it.”
Sarabia was one of five signings made during the January 2023 transfer window under then manager Julen Lopetegui, at a point when the team were bottom of the Premier League.
But they managed to turn things around, eventually securing safety with several games left.
Sarabia said: “I have a lot of good memories from the beginning. For the supporters they were very hard moments, but we lived it together and it is the most important thing.
“It doesn’t matter if our spot was 19th, 18th or eighth. For me, the support always was very good in every single situation, and we needed it all the time.
“When we were living a very hard situation, for example in the beginning of this season, the support was always behind us, and because of this they are number 12 (the 12th man), and it’s one of the most important things at Wolves, their support.”
He continued: “I’m thankful for everything, for each moment of support. I feel them behind me every single time I try something.
“I try to work a lot, not just on the pitch, to help every single teammate, and I try to help the manager, and every single situation, the bad situations, the good situations, every single moment I’m behind the team and I think it is the most important.
“I expect that the people know it because with my commitment to the team, I always tried to do my best.
“Always I will be a supporter of Wolves. I wish the best for Wolves every single season. I’m going to support Wolves for all my life, because I’m very, very thankful.”
