‘UNBELIEVABLE, No One Saw It Coming’ – WATCH Archie Gray did towards Leeds United in Oxford win that shows he still loves his Boyhood club and might want to return home

Leeds United secured a vital 1-0 victory against Oxford United on Good Friday, edging closer to automatic promotion with a five-point cushion and just three matches remaining.

Daniel Farke has expertly navigated Leeds out of a mid-season slump at the perfect moment, reestablishing a commanding lead atop the Championship following a single win in their previous six outings.

The Whites aimed for a third consecutive league triumph to further solidify their promotion hopes, taking on an Oxford United team that has bolstered its survival chances under Gary Rowett.

Leeds dominated at the Kassam Stadium, controlling possession and creating numerous chances. They capitalized when Joe Rodon’s exquisite pass found Jayden Bogle, who set up Manor Solomon for a simple tap-in.

It was the game’s only goal as Leeds then held onto their lead amidst a late Oxford push for an equaliser, and it could prove the biggest win of the season.

Leeds now sit five clear of third place with three games to play, meaning a maximum of four points are required ahead of Easter Monday, where Leeds face Stoke and Sheffield United importantly travel to Burnley shortly after.

It was a huge evening in the promotion race for Leeds, and they did the job when the pressure was on, after seeing both of their rivals come away with much-needed victories.

The away end at the Kassam Stadium were in fine voice to help see their side to victory, and amongst those appeared to be £40million summer exit Archie Gray.

Huge win for Leeds United on the road to put Farke’s men on the brink:

The performance mattered not last night for Leeds, just the three points – but we deserved that victory with and without possession.

It was a hard-earned victory at times with Oxford going direct constantly, but we stood up to the task and should have had more to show for our victory with a second or third goal.

With Easter Monday looming, Elland Road is going to be rocking and hopefully see the side through to another win.
