BAD NEWS – SEE “Picture” of Celtic’ Jota in Crutches after Suffering Nasty Knee Injury in 5-0 win at Dundee United as Hoops faithful given decision on playing against Rangers next week

Jota seems to be a significant uncertainty for the derby clash between Celtic and Rangers next weekend after being seen wearing a knee brace.

The Celtic winger was substituted in the first half of the 5-0 decisive victory over Dundee United to clinch the Scottish Premiership title.

Jota sustained a severe knee injury as his studs appeared to get caught in the turf as he clutched his right knee in pain.

The winger promptly signaled for medical help but fortunately, he was able to limp off the field under his own power.

Sky Sports commentator Ian Crocker revealed a twisted knee had been suffered by Jota but there is no timeline for a return to action.

It appears his studs may have caught in the surface and caused an injury to his knee.

Fortunately, Jota was able to walk off the pitch by his own strength but he was clearly in discomfort from the knock. He was replaced by Adam Idah.

Jota had helped Celtic break the deadlock in Dundee as he pressured Ryan Strain in the box forcing the defender to turn the ball into his own net.

The injury setback leaves Celtic anxious about Jota’s availability for the trip to Ibrox next week to face Rangers.

Celtic head to Ibrox to face Rangers in their second post-split fixture next weekend and it appears Jota is a major doubt to be involved.

During title celebrations, Jota came onto the pitch on crutches and a knee brace following the injury issue.
