NafisaNottingham Forest are reportedly looking to expand their Brazilian ranks this summer, with attacker Luis Henrique emerging as a potential target.
The Reds have found success in recent transfer windows by bringing in South American talent. Brazilian players Danilo, Murillo, and Morato have all made a significant impact, while goalkeeper Carlos Miguel also provides depth in the squad.
As per TBR Football, Forest could attempt to add Henrique to their roster at the end of the season. However, they are not alone in their interest, as multiple clubs are said to be monitoring the Marseille forward.
Premier League sides Newcastle United and Everton have also been linked with the 23-year-old, with all three English clubs reportedly scouting him in recent weeks.
Since joining Marseille from Botafogo in 2020, Henrique has been enjoying an impressive season in France. Under the guidance of former Brighton and Hove Albion manager Roberto De Zerbi, he has netted seven goals in 23 Ligue 1 matches so far.
A dynamic attacker, Henrique is capable of playing on either wing, as a No.10, or even in a right wing-back role. Earlier this year, The Guardian referred to him as “one of Brazil’s brightest forwards.”
Henrique has expressed that competing in the Champions League is an essential milestone in his career. He remains under contract until 2028 and has reiterated his commitment to Marseille for the time being.
Bolstering the attacking options available to head coach Nuno Espírito Santo is expected to be a key focus for Forest in the upcoming transfer window. The club has been searching for a striker in the past two transfer periods without securing one.
By the time their next opportunity to strengthen arrives, Forest will hope to be preparing for European competition. With 11 games remaining, Nuno’s squad currently sits third in the Premier League table.
