Santiago Gimenez’s Father Reveals Transfer Hopes
Gimenez’s father, speaking to Mexican outlet Record, provided an update on the 22-year-old striker’s future, hinting that a move away from Dutch football may soon be on the cards.
He said: “The market is going to move a little, I hope it can happen. If not, Santi is very happy at Feyenoord, but yes, the idea is that he can get out. Because of how he came back after his injury, he activated the market again.”
Although it remains unclear whether Nottingham Forest are one of the clubs reignited by Gimenez’s availability, his father indicated that interest is building.
He continued: “I think there was already follow-up from some teams on Santiago, but I don’t really know if he is going to come. Santi has already spent two and a half years at the club. The club is open to listening if there is an offer, but hey, we have to be calm.”
