“People Always Laugh at Me…” Hot Prospect Centre-Back Who Dreams of Playing for Leeds United Makes Explosive Revelation

Nikolai Hopland, one of Norway’s brightest young talents, has expressed his desire to play for Leeds United, describing the possibility as a “dream” move.

The 20-year-old defender has caught the eye at SC Heerenveen in the Eredivisie, where his performances have established him as one of the most promising prospects in Norwegian football and best in his age group across europe.

A regular at Under-21 level for his country since making his debut in October 2023, Hopland’s reputation continues to grow as a highly-rated centre-back who one day hope to be an elite in the game.

In a recent interview with Voetbal Primeur (15 November), Hopland revealed that Leeds United has always been his club of choice revealing his love for the English club sinde he was 4-years of age.

Despite growing interest from some of Europe’s top sides, including Barcelona and Real Madrid, the young defender’s heart is set on a move to Elland Road as he wish to fulfill his long time dream.

“People often laugh when I say this, but since I was four, it’s always been Leeds United,” Hopland explained. “Together with my father, I’ve been there about twenty times. I think I have every shirt they’ve had in the last fifteen years in my closet and I still watch almost every game, if it works out with our own schedule.”

“It’s my dream to play for them one day, and I will do everything I can to make that dream come true,” he added, joyfully revealing his determination to fulfil this ambition of playing for the club.
