Everton Eye 11-Goal Winger as Ideal Replacement for Richarlison

    Everton’s recent improvement in the Premier League has been modest, but with the team still seat in 16th place and only three points above the relegation zone, Sean Dyche faces a pressing dilemma during the international break where will the goals come from as all is present attacking lines are under firing.

    The Toffees have scored just 10 goals in their opening 11 matches, the third-lowest total in the Premier League, raising serious concerns over their attacking options.

    This lack of threat in the attack could push Dyche to consider reinforcements in the January transfer window.

    Reports suggest that Everton are preparing to make a move for Brazilian sensational winger Luiz Henrique in the January transfer window.

    According to Caught Offside, scouts have recently watched Henrique in action for Botafogo in matches against Cuiaba-MT and Vasco da Gama, with the club reportedly set to “test the water” with an offer.

    Crystal Palace and Fulham are also monitoring the 23-year-old, with Botafogo placing a €30m (£25m) price tag on the player.

    A potential signing of Henrique would signal a statement of intent from Dyche, proving his ambition to maintain Everton’s Premier League status.

    If the deal strike, Henrique could have a similar impact to that of a former Brazilian star who once graced Goodison Park, Richarlison.

    Richarlison’s time at Everton was memorable as he consistently contributed, with the forward netting 53 goals and providing 13 assists in 152 appearances.

    That works out at a goal contribution every 2.3 games, a strong return. His £60m transfer to Tottenham Hotspur left a void in Everton’s attack, one that they have struggled to fill ever since is departure.

    Could Henrique be the man to step into Richarlison’s shoes, then it will be the best Everton has done in recent time.

    Henrique has amazed in recent months, scoring 11 goals across all competitions in 2024, including three in the Copa Libertadores, where Botafogo have reached the final for the first time in their history.

    While his stint at Real Betis was one to forget, his form at Botafogo suggests that he could be ready for the Premier League challenge.
